So I'm returning to wow from a 6 month break and I've built a new computer in the process. I downloaded wow and curse and I fired up wow once again only to find out all my addons were not synced. No big deal, luckily I only use a handful of them. Anyways, I installed the main addons using the curse client and so when I started up wow, I enabled all of them and started configuring away. When I got to bartender, I typed /bt and I got the 'Type /help' in chat. I thought /bt didnt work so I tried /bartender and that gave me the same 'type /help' message. I went back and checked on my addons and everything is enabled, installed, and whatnot. I looked through my folders and nothing was zipped. I have no idea whats wrong with bartender but recount and bartender just wont work. I've tried reinstalling them both and nothing really works. any idea what could be wrong? Maybe something I forgot to check while troubleshooting?

command for bartender is /bt4, need the '4' on there :)
recount should still be /recount show I think.

yeah, I already tried all kinds of variations of /bt and nothing. same goes for /recount. When I go to my addons list, bartender4 is there but I can't seem to bring up bt at all. Not only that but bt isn't even on my minimap either. I thought that was really weird.

Does it show up on your addon list at the login screen?

yup. It's there with all my other addons. I just can't call it in chat with /bt, /bartender, /bt4, etc

I ended up ditching bartender for ElvUI. So far, no regrets.
As for recount, I'll have to use skada instead.

I'm in the same boat as you Benaffloçk. Bartender NOT working. I attempted to d/l Bartender from several addon sites with the same result. It shows in the interface that its there but it will not show when typing slash commands , nor show on the mini-map either. I contacted Blizzard via Live Chat and of course I received the standard coined answer that they (Blizzard) can not assist with Third Party addons and to contact either the website I d/l it from or the author. If anyone happens to hear anything about this apparent bug with Bartender it would be good to get a reply. I'll check out Domino or ElvUI in the mean time because I really dislike Blizzards UI!

I use Bartender 4 with no problems. If you manually installed it, you will need to make sure it is installed correctly. By showing in the interface do you mean the directory on the hard drive or in the game?
If directory - is the location for the .toc something like this?
C:Program Files (x86)World of WarcraftinterfaceaddonsBartender4Bartender4.toc
If Interface, is it showing up when you click the addon button on your character select screen? And do you have it checked?
To open the config it is /bt4

The directory location is; C:Program Files (x86)World of WarcraftInterfaceAddOns
with all addons listed in that file folder ie Bartender 4, Titan Panel, Bagnon etc.
On/At the characters main page on the bottom left corner where it has 3 tabs ( Shop, Addons, Menu) I opened the Addons tab reflecting all the addons that are located in the above referenced directory. All are checked marked, I even went as far as to 'enable all' 'diable all', check marked the 'Load out of date AddOns'. When I 'Enter World' the mini map in the right top corner has all the addon icons of addon loaded with the exception of the Bartender one.
If I enable the 'Esc' key the Game Menu Tab. Bartender shows in the 'AddOn' tab. In the General tab of the Chat Window I have tried /Bartender, /bt, /bt4 with negative results.
I've been playing WoW since The Burning Crusade enduring the numerous bugs & fixes over the years. Built and modded numerous computer systems enough to be considered dangerous (lol) Attempted to rename the Cache, Interface, and WTF file folders to see if that corrected the issue as well. BTW I had NO issues with Bartender until the last Tuesday ( 2/27).
I appreciate your input Sinshunt but I believe I'll just wipe WOW, use regedit and start anew.

If you disable all addons except Bartender does anything change?
