Command prompt sometimes appears, and disappears within a second for no reason. Right click the Start button click Command Prompt (Admin) at the flashing. Command Prompt Pops up on Windows 10 once a day. At random times a command prompt will pop up and disappear. I did a full system malbytes. Its not malware, its not a windows update, its not a store update, its not a scheduled. Thanks guys it seems to be working now. Right click on command prompt and select Run as Administrator. Instead of running IPConfig (or whatever it is you are running) from Winkey+R, run CMD there. That will open a CMD window, and you can now run anything you want there without its shutting down when the command completes. Apr 15, 2018 - I have Windows 10 and since last night I have been trying to open command prompt but all it does is launch for a split second where a white. Opening up the CMD is not the problem. The main problem is the CMD window appears automatically and disappear in 1-2 sec.

I'm trying to uninstall an old Java Runtime Environment (Java 8 Update 101 / 8.0.1010.13) from a Windows 10 client machine.
Apr 16, 2019 - Download Java JRE for Windows PC from FileHorse. 100% Safe and Secure. Java JRE 8 Update 212 (64-bit) LATEST.
It seems, that the original installer is missing, so it prompts me to enter a path to jre1.8.0_101full.msi.
I can't find that file on that machine, neither on the internet. I already tried the Oracle Java archive page. jre-8u101-windows-i586.exe seems to be the right version, but I can't install it.
How do I uninstall it anyway? Can I somehow extract the .msi from the .exe?

Ok, now I got it:
- Downloaded and started jre-8u101-windows-i586.exe
- The Install failed in the second step with an error code, but as long as the installer is still open I could find a jre1.8.0_101.msi where the uninstall process searches for jre1.8.0_101full.msi (notice the difference in name)
- Copied the file to a different directory and renamed it jre1.8.0_101full.msi
- Closed the installer (directory and jre1.8.0_101.msi get deleted)
- Started the uninstall process and changed the path to my new directory.
