Final Fantasy Vii Mods Steam
With Final Fantasy 7 Remake still absent a release date—it was revealed four years ago—you might as well just stop waiting and go play the original again. While not as dramatic as a complete remake, modders have been giving it an HD makeover, and one of the mods has now hit 1.0.
The Remako mod improves the quality of the battle textures, world textures and cutscenes, as well as Final Fantasy 7's gorgeous pre-rendered backgrounds. These backgrounds have been improved since the beta, says the mod's creator, while bugs and graphics issues have been fixed.
With these Final Fantasy 7 mods, your next run through FF7 might be your best. Final Fantasy VII. The updated version is the game you’ll find on the Steam and Square Enix storefronts. If there is so many mods then how about 1 or 2 links. Another part that was forgot in my original post of a possible remake. In a Q&A session of Square Enix's annual shareholder's briefing, CEO Yoichi Wada said that a remake of Final Fantasy VII will happen once the company makes a new Final Fantasy title that succeeds the seventh game in terms of quality and sales, something the company has. FF7PC-98/Steam Multiple mods - The Reunion (R05c) Late to the party on this for sure, but I stumbled across Beacause, an FFVII fan retranslation project, linked above. I haven’t seen anything earth-shattering, but it’s quite interesting and incredibly impressive!
Here's what the opening cutscene looks like with the mod:
Like an increasing number of graphics mods, Remako uses AI-upscaling for the makeover, specifically AI Gigapixel. Programs like Gigapixel and ESRGAN use AI to intelligently upscale an image. The algorithms use what they've learned from analysing images to blow them up without losing detail or leaving them a blurry mess.
Check out the screenshot page to see more of the results. While upscaling efforts aren't always guaranteed improvements, Remako looks great, like plonking on a comfy pair of rose-coloured glasses.

Ever played Final Fantasy VII, leveled up your character, collected all the best equipment and materia just to realize that not even the two super bosses of the game could give you a decent challenge, and most other enemies in the game die from a single hit with the sword? Ever wished that monsters did at least enough damage to let you use your final limit break once in a while? Got disappointed when the final boss died after the first few turns? Ever wished Final Fantasy VII was a bit more… epic?
In this version of Final Fantasy VII you will need every inch of fury in the limit bar, you will need the most powerful protective spells the game has to offer and you will need to call forth your most devastating summons - not because they look cool, but just to stay alive.
I’ve tried to stay as close to the original game as possible, only increasing difficulty and balancing out a few things. Dialogue is completely untouched.
